- The foundation of Christianity is that Jesus brought the Good News. Jesus is the way, the new way. The belief is that if you accept Jesus then you will be saved.
- The Holiness Code, “the law”, which includes the abomination passage in Leviticus, is the old way and doesn’t apply to those who accept Jesus.
“You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.” Galatians 5:4
- Regardless whether the original Hebrew word toebah of Leviticus should be translated as abomination or something closer to impure, Christians are not meant to follow that law.
- Homosexuality is neither an abomination nor impure for Christians.
